IVECCS 2027 links
As of September 2026 iveccs.org is still the 2026 site end to end, so the published 2027 material sits on veccs.org and on the 2027 Map Your Show planner.
IVECCS 2027 dates, venue and location
IVECCS 2027 runs September 9 to 12, 2027, Thursday to Sunday, at the Gaylord Texan Resort and Convention Center in Grapevine, Texas. The Gaylord Texan sits on Lake Grapevine between Dallas and Fort Worth, about ten minutes from DFW.
IVECCS 2027 runs September 9 to 12, Thursday to Sunday, at the Gaylord Texan Resort and Convention Center, 1501 Gaylord Trail, Grapevine TX. The exhibit hall is Longhorn Halls C to F, with 51 exhibitors booked as of September 2026. The Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society, based in San Antonio, runs the meeting, and its call for speaker proposals closes September 30, 2026.
The rest is unpublished as of September 2026: the program, registration and pricing, the CE ceiling, the virtual and on demand terms, RACE approval, the hotel block, and the abstract and case report calls. For scale, IVECCS 2026 carried 37 live hours in person, streamed 24 more, held 80 on demand through October 18, and was RACE approved.
The week of the meeting changes shape in 2027. IVECCS 2026 ran Monday to Thursday. IVECCS 2027 runs Thursday to Sunday, so the days you need covered are a weekend rather than midweek.
The venue changes shape too. The Gaylord Texan holds the sessions, the exhibit hall and the guest rooms under one roof, so the walk to a 7am lab is an indoor one. In Savannah the convention center sat across the river from the historic district where most attendees slept, and VECCS told people to allow 45 minutes each way by shuttle or ferry.
How many IVECCS CE hours can one person claim?
VECCS publishes a ceiling on what a single attendee can put on a renewal, which the NAVC also does for VMX and the Viticus Group does not do for WVC. For 2026 it published three ceilings, one for each way of attending, on its CE information page. The 2027 figures are not published.
IVECCS 2026 CE caps as published by VECCS.
| How you attended in 2026 | Maximum one person could claim | When |
|---|---|---|
| In person, Savannah | 37 live CE hours | September 14 to 17, 2026 |
| Virtual | 24 live CE hours | Livestreamed at the Savannah times, Eastern |
| On demand, either badge | 80 non-interactive CE hours | Through October 18, 2026 |
| Exhibitor with a booth | Virtual sessions only | 30 days after the meeting |
The 80 on demand hours came with the in person badge at no extra charge. VMX sells its virtual program as a separate $295 product and states that the in person badge does not include recordings. At IVECCS the same registration covered the room in Savannah, the livestream and the on demand library. WVC sells no remote access and records nothing.
Live and on demand hours are certified separately. VECCS issues two certificates, one for live hours and one for on demand hours, each listing the sessions attended. That split matters where a board counts live and recorded hours against different limits. What your state actually requires, state by state.
Credit is self-tracked. Attendees scan the QR code on their badge at each session door, and certificates follow in the weeks after the meeting.
The 2026 virtual program was 2 full-day tracks on the Monday and 4 full-day tracks Tuesday through Thursday, livestreamed at the published times and then available on demand for 30 days. VECCS stated that access does not extend and that no refunds are issued for technical problems.
IVECCS 2027 registration and deadlines
Registration for IVECCS 2027 is not open and no prices are published. One 2027 deadline is live: the call for speaker proposals closes September 30, 2026. Proposals for IVECCS 2028 open on May 17, 2027.
For scale, IVECCS 2026 priced the badge by VECCS membership rather than by role, which VMX and WVC both do the other way around. A non-member veterinarian paid $1,070, a student started at $120 on the early rate, and a technician virtual badge started around $270. Joining VECCS at registration was offered as a bundle against the non-member price.
The early rate closed on July 20 for a meeting that opened on September 14, and the refund ladder started running before that.
The IVECCS 2026 cancellation policy, as published by VECCS. Cancellations had to be in writing to the registration provider.
| Cancel by | What came back |
|---|---|
| On or before June 30, 2026 | 80 per cent, or a switch to the virtual badge with the difference refunded |
| July 1 to July 31, 2026 | 50 per cent, or a switch to the virtual badge with the difference refunded |
| From August 1, 2026 | No refund. The switch to the virtual badge stayed open, unrefunded |
| Workshops and labs, from August 1, 2026 | No refund, unless a waitlist filled the seat, less a $10 change fee |
| From August 17, 2026 | No refund on any part of the registration |
What the policy leaves out
- Registrations are non-transferable and substitutions are not allowed, so a colleague cannot take a seat you cannot use. Switching to the virtual badge is the only exit once the refund window has closed.
- There is no single day badge and no group rate. VECCS states that each person registers for the whole conference.
- Students can register free by volunteering. Two half-day shifts scanning badges at session doors cover the registration and the lunch packet, and student volunteers get priority placement in the Gary Stamp Lab on the first day. Places are first come, first served.
- A guest badge is $220 and is required for anyone five or older. It covers the welcome reception and nothing else, with no access to sessions, events, food or conference swag.
- Workshops, labs and the lunch package are added at registration and priced on top of it. Removing one after the fact carried a $10 fee in 2026.
Who IVECCS is worth it for
IVECCS is the emergency and critical care meeting, and it is much smaller than the two general ones. 6,200 veterinary professionals attended in person in 2025, against more than 21,000 at WVC Las Vegas.
Reasons to go to IVECCS
- You work emergency or critical care. The entire program is ECC, written for veterinarians, technicians, practice managers and students in that corner of the profession, rather than one track inside a general meeting.
- You cannot leave a rota. IVECCS streams live sessions and keeps an on demand window open for a month after the meeting, and in 2026 both came with the in person badge. If your cover falls through in August, the badge converts to virtual, which is the only change the 2026 policy allowed after August 1.
- You are a technician or a nurse. IVECCS runs named technician and nurse tracks and its own technician and nurse case report track, judged separately and carrying a $500 prize for the best report.
- You are a student. Two half-day volunteer shifts cover the badge, and the free places come with priority in the lab that runs on day one.
- You do large animal emergency work. IVECCS carries a large animal track and runs a separate large animal abstract call, with its own deadline and its own reviewer.
Reasons to go to VMX or WVC instead
- You want breadth. VMX 2027 runs small animal, exotics, large animal, nursing and practice management at once and advertises over 1,000 hours, with a published 43.5 hour ceiling for one attendee.
- You learn with your hands. WVC Vegas 2027 runs 55 or more hands-on labs at the Viticus Group's own education centers, which is the largest wet lab program at any general veterinary meeting.
- The badge price decides it. VMX opens at $250 for a veterinarian and WVC at $399. A non-member veterinarian paid $1,070 at IVECCS 2026.
- You are shopping for equipment. 51 exhibitors were booked for IVECCS 2027 in September 2026. VMX runs 800 or more.
Reasons to go to none of them
- You are two hours short before a renewal. A state or regional VMA meeting closes that gap at a fraction of the cost per claimable hour, without travel.

IVECCS had the most expensive badge of the three in 2026 and the only one that carried the recordings with it. VMX is the cheapest to get into, publishes a 43.5 hour ceiling and sells its 51 hour remote program separately. WVC has no remote option at all. The full VMX 2027 page covers its registration tiers and the hotel deadlines that close before Christmas, and the WVC 2027 page covers both Viticus Group meetings and the lab refund dates.
What changed between IVECCS 2026 and IVECCS 2027
IVECCS 2026 ran September 14 to 17 at the Savannah Convention Center in Georgia, with 37 live CE hours in person, 24 live virtual, 80 on demand through October 18 and RACE approval stated on the program. The 2027 meeting moves state, venue and week.
- The venue moves to the Gaylord Texan Resort and Convention Center in Grapevine, Texas, where the sessions, the exhibit hall and the guest rooms sit in one building. Savannah put the convention center across the river from the hotels, on a 45 minute shuttle and ferry run.
- The dates move five days earlier, to September 9 to 12, and the week rotates from Monday to Thursday onto Thursday to Sunday.
- The exhibit hall moves into the Longhorn Exhibit Halls C to F, and 51 companies had booked space by September 2026.
- The rest lands later in the cycle, as it did for 2026: registration, pricing, the program, the hotel block, the RACE submission and the virtual offering are all still unpublished.
- IVECCS 2028 is already dated: September 10 to 13 at the Phoenix Convention Center.
The charting does not take the week off.
Time out of the practice has to be made up somewhere, and records are usually where it lands.

About these figures
Every date, price and CE figure on this page was checked in September 2026 against veccs.org, iveccs.org and the 2027 Map Your Show planner. At that point iveccs.org was still the 2026 site from the browser tab down, so where the two domains disagreed we went with veccs.org, which is the one carrying 2027.
Confirm with the organizer before you book flights, and confirm your CE with your own board before you count on it. If you spot something wrong here, tell us at [email protected] and we will fix it.
